Unfortunately our samples have gotten lost in the ether but hopefully we will get them this week, in the meantime stuart has taken a look at performance gains possible with the new FX55 chip

Cool, my system still beats even the latest FX in 3D Mark 2005 scoring 6300.

Your GFX more than likely, try some other tests

Then why 5872 with the FX-53 and 6213 with the FX-55? Same GFX used, right?

yes of course, that wasnt the point im making the point im making is something like 3dmark05 takes into consideration GFX and overclocked core etc.

If you test other more cpu specific tests you will see massive differences between an FX and your processor.

I didnt know both 2.6 and 2.4 Ghz version have got same identification with FX-53

I guess you live up to your name of blind_arrow. the FX53 was overclocked in once instance i.e. 13x200 and 12x200.
