Creative's E-MU 0404: Pro Sound Quality on the Cheap
If you ever wanted to produce audio on your PC but didn't want to spend the money, Creative claims its E-MU 0404 Digital Audio System card will do the job for less than $100. We see whether it is really possible to turn your PC into a professional audio system on the cheap.
The 0404's form factor is the traditional PCI card you insert into a slot in your PC like any other sound card of this type. However, its input and output connectors are different. how many times have you heard this from they Creative labs loons , every card eh bought from them has distorted sound

This is actually Creative's first excellect line of cards (the Emu's). The sound is nowhere near any of the crappy Audigy line, and surpasses everything short of the Lynx2. The only downside is no EAX and only 2-speaker support. But it is a pro card, afterall.

no soundcard will have zero distortion, and for the price of this card, its excellent for what it does
