While we did not get to see it in motion on our sample notebook, NVIDIA did share with us quite a few demonstrations that outlined their new “PureVideo” technology. PureVideo is going to cover a plethora of image enhancing techniques for those of us that use our notebooks to watch DVDs or content pulled off the hard drive or streamed over the Net.There are two problems with watching full motion video on most machines. First, outside of DVD viewing, the video is usually so heavily compressed, that it shows a lot of artifacting, especially if you are sizing the screen beyond its native resolution. The second issue, is that when you might being watching a television show that you have recorded in a mpeg format.
