Which Soyo has quit the motherboard business?

A recent report stating Soyo Computer was quitting the motherboard business has caused a bit of confusion among DigiTimes readers and led to a number of queries from Soyo customers concerned about the worth of their motherboard rebates.

The confusion arose from the fact that there are, in fact, three historically intertwined affiliated companies all named Soyo, and it is only the original parent company, Soyo Computer, that plans to phase out production of its motherboards.

The other two companies, the Soyo Group and Soyo Enterprise, will continue to market motherboards and PC peripherals, according to the two companies.
