"A common issue associated with USB mice is the polling time and rate of the bus. USB has a fixed polling rate of 125Hz and Windows XP users are incidentally worse off due to the 8ms restriction Microsoft imposed. Windows 2000 and other OSes compliant with USB specifications should work with a 1ms time. As most mice use an 8-bit data path, the problem emerges during fast movements and swipes. You might notice the cursor jitter or loose tracking because not enough information could be sent to synchronize it. Razer's approach to eliminate this problem was to increase the data path of the Diamondback to 16-bits. According to Razer, this virtually eliminates any form of lag or negative acceleration."

Interesting.. Plus I had to send back the MX510 because i am left handed and couldn't use it. This might be a good alternative for me and people like me.

@/2ct!< is on a distinguished road

sure glad they added the extra buttons, now I hope this and the mx510 will be at bestbuy, etc. so I can compare how they feel hands on. On the fly sensitivity change sounds really appealing, especially if switching between regular and sniper.
EDIT: but 100 dollars fo ra mouse?

If you are left handed like me the choice is clear.

Thumbs Up!

I used the boomslang for years and it was great - looking forward to give that one a try (at some point).
