New HyperTransport-Based Products and Members Announced at the Network Processor Conference
SAN JOSE, Calif. – Oct. 22, 2002 – HyperTransportÔ Technology Consortium, founded to develop, promote and manage specifications of the HyperTransportÔ I/O link, today strengthened its presence within the networking and communications industry with the availability of two new HyperTransport-based products and three new members. PLX Technology and PMC-Sierra recently announced the availability of networking products integrating HyperTransport technology, while Seaway Networks described how its Streamwise technology will integrate the I/O link. Seaway also joins communications companies, Agilent Technologies and MathStar, Inc.™, as the newest members of the HyperTransport Technology Consortium. With over 35 HyperTransport-based products already announced and over 50 members, the consortium continues to establish an extensive ecosystem of products and services to help enable designers within the computer, networking and telecommunications industries to seamlessly integrate HyperTransport technology into their next-generation system architecture.
