Napster creator Shawn Fanning has created a new P2P service that charges downloaders for music. Several members of the music industry are supportive of Fannings idea for the new service.

Fannings newest software recognizes copyrighted music and allows the copyright holders to charge a fee for the download.

The new service is called Snocap. It is assumed that major P2P networks such as Kazaa and Morpheus will not likely participate in Fannings service, which makes it a risky business venture.
