Microsoft Sues Spammers

The software giant, Microsoft, has filed lawsuits against seven companies for violating the CAN-SPAM "Brown Paper Wrapper" rule. The law specifically requires adult oriented bulk email to have the words "SEXUALLY-EXPLICIT" in the subject line.

Designed to make it easier to filter such emails, it makes it more difficult for the sexually explicit spam to reach inboxes.
The lawsuit was filed in the Washington State Superior Court in King County. It names "John Doe" spammers that allegedly violated the law.
