GMail Drive 1.04
GMail Drive is a Shell Namespace Extension that creates a virtual filesystem around your Google GMail account, allowing you to use GMail as a storage medium.
GMail Drive creates a virtual filesystem on top of your Google GMail account and enables you to save and retrieve files stored on your GMail account directly from inside Windows Explorer. GMail Drive literally adds a new drive to your computer under the My Computer folder, where you can create new folders, copy and drag'n'drop files to. Essentially, yes, it turns it into an off-site storage. You will see the virtual parition GMail Drive creates as if you were looking at your local hard drive.
It's a great program, but why is it still being developed when Goolgle has stated that it's against their terms-of-service agreement to use their GMail service in this manner? Google has already banned people for using their GMail account (in conjuntion with GMail Drive) to host, or store pirated software (including cracks, keygens, and software). Make sure you read GMails terms-of-service agreement before you starting using GMail Drive. http://gmail.google.com/gmail/help/terms_of_use.html (Pay particular note to section 3). If you use it properly GMail Drive can be a great app... misuse it.. and Google will make you pay for it. |

Will it allow you to send the files to other gmail account holders?

Hmm, I wonder if that would work- Say I want to send my mom a folder of pics (or whatever) that is 50MB, just get her log in password/ etc... Then put the 50mb folder in my Gdrive, then close it and tell her to open her Gdrive and grab it- Cool. Seems like a pain to do all that though. Plus I don't want a Gdrive always connected to the net on my machine..
