"Namco Hometek Inc. announced that Tekken 5 will feature a bonus mode which will bring players "more invigorating fighting action than ever before", including blasting off or pounding a large number of enemies coming at them in mass quantities. Players can also perform unique actions not allowed in the main game, including the ability to move freely throughout stages, destroy columns and walls, jump to the second floor, double jump to obtain out-of-reach items and hang from walls. This action-based game mode will also contain a number of strategic elements to challenge players as they advance further along in stages. Tekken 5 is scheduled for a North American release in Q1 of 2005, exclusively for PS2."
