which shows pdf file in 1 sec or 2.

I was using the Acrobat Reader 7 beta and I have to admit that the beta version is a lot faster opening pdf files, faster than any other version of acrobat reader. I hope that this is still true with the final version.

a lot of programs are doing what i call "ICQing" ..... remember when ICQ was 1 meg and was all about instant messaging? and then the 10 and 30 meg versions came out with 10000000 crappy things nobody would use ..... well a lot of things are ending up this way too.....

so true, so many programs just pile up in size and unused functions. that's how they called an "update".

Donator
Dude, totally agree with you on ICQ.
I don't even use it anymore. WAY too much advertising and far too many features. Worst part is they FORCE you to upgrade, or it won't connect/work! How lame is that.
Yeah I know there are hacks and work'a'rounds but I long for the days of ICQ98 and 99. Small, simple, could run it off a PDA...now you need a 32MB flash card JUST to install the fuggin thing and its STILL bloated.

I digress...

LOL. I have to agree with you on ICQ. That's the reason that I moved to trillian on windows and gaim on nix.

I just installed the Acrobat Reader 7.0 and I have to say that I think it is even faster than the beta loading up pdf files from the web. I need to see if they are offering a trial to the full version of acrobat 7.0.

Problem with the speedup programs is that it turns off the ability to edit PDF file, or fill in pdf forms, for instance to file your taxes online. That is the only useful feature for the damn thing.
