Default Post High Contrast 20" Flat Panel Display

It features MVA technology for superior sharpness, brightness and color reproduction across wide viewing angles

WESTWOOD, Mass. -- October 30, 2002 -- Hitachi America, Ltd., a subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. (NYSE: HIT) has added a high contrast 20.1" flat panel LCD display to its line of high performance monitors. The new CML200B provides an expanded display area with a native resolution of 1600 x 1200 for graphics, imaging, CAD/CAM/CAE, as well as for general business use. It features MVA technology for superior sharpness, brightness and color reproduction across wide viewing angles with an extended life backlight that lasts twice as long as most competitive models.

The CML200B uses approximately 2/3 less desk space than most comparable CRTs. It provides sharp, distortion-free images at viewing angles of 170 degrees in both horizontal and vertical directions.

The monitor delivers a full 20.1" viewing area (408 x 306 mm) and has a pixel pitch of .255 mm. It also features 250-nit brightness and an outstanding 500:1 contrast ratio.

With its extended life backlight, the CML200B has an average backlight life of greater than 50,000 hours - double the useful life of competitive products that average 25,000 hours.

The CML200B also has analog and digital (DVI-D) inputs, side- mounted detachable speakers, an integrated microphone and a headphone jack. An auto-adjust function provides quick, beautiful picture adjustments.

PC & Mac (some Macs may require an adapter) compatible, the CML200B meets the VESA FPMPMI (Flat Panel Monitor Physical Mounting Interface) standard, enabling wall-mounting with third party mounting arms. This product also features a Kensington Security Port.

The CML200B is TCO '95 approved. It complies with one of the world's strictest standards for low radiation, safety, ergonomics and power management. The new monitor comes in a black cabinet and is available for shipping from Hitachi distributors on November 13th with an MSRP of $1599.00.
