I believe Skud received them from SapphireTech. SapphireTech has not modified any of the files even to include their name in the .inf files that I'm aware of. These came from ATI somewhere down the line, but they are not official. Use at your own risk. They work fine for me.

I've removed the drivers from my site, since i created 120gb data the last 8 days, because i've been hosting new ati drivers (6193 and 6200 aka 7.79) and in the last 15 hours 46.3 gb :o Only because of the 6200 driver :o That has given me 30k hits today, very nice, but use one the mirrors insted now or else my webhost gonna kill me

I have tried these drivers and they are about the same but Now if you notice smartgaurt has been corrected to tell you that your radeon 9700 is running at 8x and also fastwrites are now on where as they used to be off.

This is the only things ive noticed so far

I installed them on my 98 rig, all went very smoothly. Lost about 50 points in 3DMark, no biggie.

Seems to me to be good. I haven't found any new problems with them. Old problems still exist (very minor ones, so much so that I'm not gonna bother mentioning what they are, no lockups)

Textures seem very clean with this set. Gonna go try them on the XP rig now.

um I try the first link it was bad download the setup contrall didn't work with winacer it said error setup errrr but I have lastest winace.

A very unstudied opinion, but the 2D seems alot sharper and the 3D looks better (textures). I just load up a few games (UT2 mostly) and it just looks better. But then again... I am half blind.
