XFX 6600GT AGP Review

XFX Technologies is among the many vendors to be part of NVIDIA push to release the AGP version of the GeForce 6600GT. In fact, XFX is leading the availability wars. I found the XFX card was in stock with ten percent fluctuations in market value at many popular e-tailers. This certainly bests many of the paper launches we have seen from all chipmakers, GPU or CPU.

i would strongly urge people to keep away from the xfx 660GT till the problems have bottomed out

xfx has currently got a bad string of cards coming out
and are already up to revision 3 in trying to fix it

again i implore you.. if you want a 6600GT, buy another brand for now

I got my XFX 6600 GT yesterday the thing runs like a champ. It has a new heatsink and fan system on it different then you see in all the reviews. This card sure beats my old 9700 pro. I would have got another ATI but they dont offer the 700 model in AGP. Nvidia is really going to sell alot of these cards cause ATI doesnt have anything in this price range & performance at the moment.

but yours is most likely a rev4 model... mind checking your rev number for us?

I know a family with three of those cards, and they've all been working great since Christmas.

Yup, all xfx.

The lucky one has non-xfx 6800 Ultra.

its strange though

you get a group of people from REV 2 having problems and only a few from REV 1 have any at all
