Continuing our 915P Express motherboard shootout is the AOpen i915P-EFRII, the current high-end model in AOpen's stable. The i915P-EFRII comes with just the right amount of extra features to make a difference with the competition.
Unlike most of the first tier motherboard manufacturers, AOpen has not been as aggressively adopting all of Intel's LGA775 solutions. Presently, their high-end LGA775 motherboards are based on the Intel 915P Express chipset and they have yet to release any Alderwood products. For our shootout, AOpen sent us three different motherboard models that feature the Intel 915P Express. While similarly designed, each board has distinctive features that target different user levels. The first of the three boards we tested is the AOpen i915Pa-EFRII. As the most most feature packed of the lot, the i915Pa-EFRII represents their current flagship model.
