Default Post Intel says price drops on Nov 17th.

On November 10th, there is a price move on the Intel® Celeron®
Processor family and select Intel® Pentium® 4 Processors to coincide
with the launch of the Intel Pentium 4 Processor 3.06Ghz. On November
17th, there is a price move on select Intel® XeonTM
Server/Workstation Processors.

Rumors of additional 4th quarter or early 1st quarter 2003 price moves
are incorrect. Beyond the price moves noted here, Intel will not move
prices on any other boxed Intel® Pentium® 4 Processors during this time
frame.
2.8 GHz
2.66 GHz
2.6 GHz
will be the processors affected by the price drops.

last week I buyed a P4 2.4 GHz NorthWood for 372 Euro thats about 376 US Dollar, the price was dropped 135$, I Remember the days i bougt A p2 333 Mhz for 1100 $ , These where the Dutch prices, i pushed it up to OC the P4 up to 2.9 GHz with ease system stays stable for a few days(to try i out) with OC....So u see the prices stay dropped because AMD pushed them to lower the prices
b.t.w i have more trust in Intel then in AMD, Pentium is more stable then AMD .
a half a year ago i bought a AMD 1.1GHZ and by oc'ing @1.2 the system crasches all the time
And i buy Always an Asus Mobo with intel chipset.
