AMD Athlon 64 vs. Sempron Comparison
The key players in the processor industry being Intel and AMD, both offer cut down versions of their flagship products. For example the cut down version of the Intel Pentium4 processor is known as the Celeron. Currently the AMD equivalent is known as the Sempron and this processor is available in two different forms. The Sempron has been released for both the Socket A and 754-pin platforms. Often readers ask if they should purchase a 754-pin Athlon64 or Sempron and is the $50 US price premium worth it for the Athlon64 processor.

The site is working fine here too.
I read the review. The processor looks good for building budget systems. I am going to wait a bit longer before I look at moving to the Athlon 64. |

looks good, but dunno... A64 3200+ 939 will be my next CPU anyway
edit: looking at the review again, well games are all for me, even the extra 50 extra bucks make a huge difference on performance, so i will stay on the a64 besides when games with 64bit optimizations are out, it will be a huger difference, also we are closer and closer to xp64 and longhorn, so it worth the 50bucks edit2: can someone xplain to me why the sandra cpu tests do not take in count the FSB? i mean my 2400+ @ 2.19ghz is supposed to be better than an AthlonXP 3000+ which is just not right taking in count the difference on FSB -.-
