Texas Gaming Festival

The Texas Gaming Festival is coming up soon, and it looks like its going to be one hell of an event, with some first class sponsors (ATI, ABIT, OCZ and more). Our own Terry "Catalyst Maker" Makedon will be there mingling with the gamers and he has put out an open invitation to any DH members to make sure they introduce themselves for a little chat.

The guy in charge of this event Chris is the owner of www.amdzone.com and it looks to be a well organised event, so if any of you are looking for something cool to do make sure you join in the frag.

For more information on this event head over here

well I dont actually plan lan parties. I just show up at them with a box of goodies.

If YOU on the other hand planned a party in Atlanta, I could look into showing up for you!

Man I am damn close to there. 300 miles is nothing. I wonder if I can get out there and meet up with Mr. Makedon.

I am not too strong of an opponent in LANs, but I would not mind having some fun.

For those that are thinking of going. Check out travelocity.com . I am going to this event and flights from my location were between 220-350 bucks. I could add a hotel and car for around 500.00-600.00 total cost. This was from Indiana but I bet the rates are good if you have a major airport nearby.

I just booked my flight on Monday and the cost had accually gone down from last week. About $25.

Just an FYI for those that want to go.

I know about one cool thing that they have going on at the event. This "thing" could make the trip worth while.

Dude you dont have to talk in code about that part. It's public.

We have hired snuffy from aacdirect.com to build us another killer rig (like the last system he built for us at CXG and featured on a DH article).

It is a 5-6k system and will guaranteed to be one of the top 10 fastest systems in the world on 3dmark. It will also feature 2 very cool pieces of ati technology that you may or may have not ever seen before.

chris and omega are like icing - they add that little final flourish to an already fine cake, with Terry like the chef - guiding it all (one can only postulate about a big white floppy chef's hat)

but rememeber, not everyone likes icing!
