Thermaltake Armor VA8000 Armor Case
"The best thing about PC cases is that their design is only limited by the imagination of the design team. Almost any limitation can be overcome with a bit of work and imagination. Thermaltake is one company that has proven this many times in the past with such products as the Shark, Tsunami and Xaser series cases. Today, we have their latest design innovation on hand, the Tt Armor VA8000 series chassis. This case incorporates many new design features as well as a few older and proven ones. Over the next few pages, we'll take a look to see how well the new meshes with the old."

OK, a few firsts for me. My first online purchase, my first aluminium case and my first thermaltake product. Ordered this beasty last night now im checking the online ordering status every 5 minutes to find out when I'll get it (tomorrow hopefully). ooooh the excitement is killing me.
PS anyone interested in the uk should take a look at M*crodirect who have it on special offer at the moment, along with a Hyundai Visionquest 19" TFT thats looking very tempting too. |

Ok I received the case today and what can I say but WOW
. Setting up was an absolute breeze though I still dont understand why case/mobo manufacturers cant decide on one standard labelling/socket system for USB and other front panel connections. Anyway Ive moved all my hardware from my previous temporary case into this beast and straight away my CPU temps dropped 3c and the overall system temp dropped 2c, airflow is highly efficient and the top and smaller rear fan could easily be left out with minimal loss to cooling efficiency. I now have more drivebays than it would ever be possible to fill and the space and layout inside gives you plenty of room to play around, with an upgrade to watercooling catered for as standard. Supplied with the case you get 2x120mm blue LED fans with adjustable RPM controlled by the mobo, you also get 2x90mm fans that are noticeably quieter than your average 90mm generic fan. All fans plug directly into the PSU as opposed to drawing power from the mobo with male and female connections allowing you to chain them together. I would have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone searching for a light, spacious, cool and quiet case with a distinctive and noticeable look and I have yet to find a flaw despite being a very picky consumer. If anyone would any questions answered or pics sent then let me know and i'll see what I can do. |
