Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 Patch Released (Beta Build 242)

Basically it provides force feedback fixes/updates. Thats about it. Its a beta, but released direct from EA.

Note: Your files cannot be modified if you want to use this patch, if you have modified files, you must reinstall NFS6, from add/remove (It will retain your profiles), then reinstall from the main disc, apply the patch, and once again do your updates to the files

I don't play games online, so I can't comment on that part of it. But it definitely fixed the force-feedback issues that I had with my Logitech Rumblepad.

The problem I had was that I would only have forces for one race, and they were weak at that. The patch fixed that right up.

Here is an easier method to apply the patch if you have any modified files. Go to the directory where the game is installed and rename the nfshp2.exe to nfsnp2x.exe, then go to the install cd and copy the nfshp2.exe to your game directory. Apply the patch and then delete the nfshp2.exe and then rename the nfshp2x.exe back to nfshp2.exe. Thats it!!

It also checks INI files.

Will this patch make the game check for CD? (I have used a crack to make it not)

Considering its not listed as a NOCDCrack and its a beta... I'd only assume that it would NOT work as a NOCDCrack.

the game is great , but the mulriplay suxx , only drive 1 race , what about a competition online ?
