HOT: Nvidia 41.09 sets leaked on DH

Yes we did it again, some more Nvidia drivers leaked for the Driverheaven board members, this time we have our hands on newer sets for both Windows 2000/XP and Windows 98/ME.

Both 41.09 sets are dated 18 Nov 2002, and are so hot I havent had the chance to test them so post your findings with the other board members.

If you want to give them a try - go ahead and grab your set from the links in the forum.

Windows 2000/XP set

Windows 95/98/ME set

Oh yeah and how about this time, if people start mirroring these on other sites, they give a mention to us as the source? im tired of this happening.

remember if you are having problems downloading these sets with our anti leech script in place, disable all download accelerators and temporarily disable your firewall while clicking the link.

-------------------------------------

opera: You aren't passing http referrer. Change your referrer setting in opera and you'll be able to. Getright can also be set to pass the real referrer which will allow you to use getright if that's a concern.

Access denied messages when doing remote shutdowns usually indicate a user login failure (can't be username with no password) or the MS firewall is turned on.

It seems to perform better with DX9 maybe they are optimized for DX9?

Cool!

Thanks for the new drivers guys. I have made the Win2k/XP version available for download from my site also.

http://www.computerchaos.net

They are on the right hand column just below the nVidia Detonator Icon, in the same spot as Omega's last release.

Big Grin

Thankyou very much. Now how about the 41.32??

Anyways, it would only seem sensible to make them more DirectX 9 compatible, wouldn't you think?

But, yes they are a lot better and increased my benchmark by about 150. Thanks again Zardon.

Cool

I'm using the latests drivers with DX9 and it seems to be working much better. The games run and look smoother....Now if I can only get 3dMark2001 to work with DX 9. Anyone have any ideas?

Sure. Open up "regedit" and find "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\DirectX ". Under it you'll find "Version". Change the value of "Version" to "4.08.01.0810" (DX 8.2, I think)

The only reason 3dm2k1se ain't working for you is it's checking your registry to find out what version of DX you have, and it doesn't recognize DX9's number yet. Changing the number won't affect how your rig runs, it'll just trick the programs that check DX that way.

No Good

Something still wrong there David.

I was able to access the file and D/L it but when it finished, there was nothing there in winzip!

Tried to D/L it again and now the link is down again.

the link isnt dead, its a referrer issue, disable all download accelerators and if you cant get it to work, disable your firewall while clicking the link Alan.

its our anti leech script which while inconvenient for some stops other sites leeching our files. I posted this in the first post in this thread.

if you still cant get it Alan, ill get the file hosted for you on zardon.net.

glad you got it, probably a network glitch. although Driverheaven is on T3, we are currently at 10 meg a second downloading of various files to over 150 people.

Early Results with WinME

Early results show a greater vibrance even in the desktop wallpaper and in the systems windows.

A quick look at RTCW shows excellent IQ, Frames and Colors.
No Lag whatsoever!

I really think that the 2D applications load faster! At least they seem to be displayed faster!

It just has a crisper feel to it now. And did I mention the colors?
They are wonderful.

I will run some benchmarks and post again tomorrow.

EDIT: I lost 220 in 3Dmark2001SE and lost 28 in GLmark

So, I'm staying with 40.71's which are probably the best for GF3 and I see no need to continue to test these latest releases as it is apparent that they are not addressing GF3 at all in these newer releases.

I wonder

Will this beta set of drivers have corrected TV-output, the 40.xx dont have DX enabled when in clone mode so I can watch movie only on monitor, which is stupid since the card is integrated dual-head like...30.xx work fine so i had to switch back to them, less performance with them but....I let you all know what happens with theese. Any way, You could all try Download accelerator plus for IE, it does everithing that other progz do, but it has a "on the fly bandwith control" which gives you control over download rate, you can set it eg. to medium having used half of your bandwith and leaving other half for surfing ! This is great ! When opening pages you set it to low, when page opens for you to read it, you set priority to high again ! and all links here work fine, no trouble with security scripts ! It is also some 300kb.... no banners, no naggin' ... find it on http://www.metaproducts.com

WOW, can you say digital vibrance!?!! holy crap- turn that slider up and see what happens. Also there is a new section that combines the seperate openGL and D3D AA and AF into one page. On the same page there is a weird slider that says performace, and you can set it to application, balanced or aggressive. Aggressive being the fastest- setting this to app. will give you about 2000 less 3DMark points. I lost an Average of 100 points on the best score I could get. They seem to be pretty stable and they look OK to me, maybe a little better than the 40.72's- this is all on a win98 machine w/ a GF4ti4200 64mb and an 1800xp- everything overclocked.
Everything looks more yelloish w/ this card, but the colors are very bright w/ alot of contrast- different, but nice looking. I am stuck w/ directx9 so it may be different w/ dx8, who knows.

well I tested these out quite a bit yesterday- I can say this, they look very good!! Very nice colors, A HUGE difference. very sharp too, AA and AF seem to have a little more quality. I don't think these drivers are faster, but they aren't THAT MUCH slower (100 points in 3dmark less on my system). I am impressed w/ the contrast and colors I get- my games look so much more vivid and sharp. No crashes w/ everything i got O/C'ed. I think they are keepers.

********after a day or two testing them************

No Good For ME on ME GF3

I lost 220 in 3Dmark2001SE and lost 28 in GLmark

It appears to me that these are only for the newer cards and have nothing new to offer the lowly GF3 people like me.
