PowerColor RADEON X800 XL AGP Review

While the X800 XL is quickly gaining a loyal following among ATI enthusiasts, the card was initially launched in PCI Express format only, requiring enthusiasts to purchase a new motherboard and graphics card if they wanted to upgrade. However, late last February ATI announced the X800 XL AGP, providing an upgrade path for these consumers. PowerColor is one of ATI's first board partners with a card available and it's up for review today. Works now, good review.

What I really like about this card.

The real beauty of X800 XL though is that all this is wrapped into a package that’s priced competitively. The X800 XL AGP officially retails for $350, over $150 less than the X850 XT Platinum Edition AGP. This officially makes it the least expensive 16-pipe solution on the market

And just when I bought a 6800 GT they release this card in AGP format. I give up

It beats the 6800GT is some tests, but in some the 6800GT crushes it, mostly in Open GL.. So if you like open GL games you got a good card. Also the 6800GT over clocks a lot better than the X800XL, so you got a great card, I wouldn't be unhappy with either.
