Battlefield 2 Release Date Rumor and System Specs

"According to inside sources at EA, Battlefield 2 should be in stores the 23rd of June. about one week before the estimated release, which was around the 27th. In related new, the Spanish official website has listed the system specs of the game: Windows XP (incompatible with Windows 2000 and Me), Pentium IV 1,7 GHz (recommanded: Pentium IV 2 GHz or Athlon XP), 512 MB RAM (recommanded: 1 GB RAM), video card with 128 MB compatible with DirectX Version 9.0b."

Xp only as well that means the 2 people still on WinME are sh!t outta luck then ... strange they would not make it 2K compatiable though

bill must have bought some serious stock in ea.if its as good as people are saying then it will deffinetly sell some copies of xp.

This game is gonna rock! Geez, this year Far Cry and Doom 3 were the reasons I missed so many classes- I guess next year it'll be BF:2!!!

Any word on the sequel to the Star Wars mod?

WTF? what is up with that, i am thinking that not that much people have this at the moment, including myself.

also, does the 9.0b refer to the software or the hardware? if it is the gfx card then i think this will greatly reduce the no. of sales.

9.0b is software, but if your card is not compatable with this version of Direct X, I guess you are SOL.

But I am sure someone will find a work around, as they do for everything these days.
