Dear Ford
No no no nonono.... I installed it and I got nonstop, sometimes LOOPING, BSODs... eek! I'm a sad spork when I get I BSOD in safe mode, heh... but anyway, finally managed to be stable for 4 minutes so I could reinstall the old ones. Hope I'm the only one with this problem!

I intalled it and everything seem to work till I woke up the next day and noticed my something strange.. thought it was my eyes cause of the morn.. so I asked my wife to look at my monitor and tell me what you see.. and she did.. saw the same thing as me.. My screen was wavey starts out slow then got bad.. but I dont think it was cause cause even when I rebooted it was doing that in the startup section of rebooting.. befor windows was even bbooted. but it always did that then so I dont know. but I tried reinstalling my gfx drivers and still same problem..
so I uninstalled the agp drivers and then uninstalled my gfx drivers.. and then reinstalled my gfx drivers and everything ok so far.. so I dont know........... |

I had a similar problem too, thought it was the 41.04 + 4.40 driver combo. So I went back to 41.09, all is well now.

So it looks like VIA stepped up and fixed the AGP 8X issue it was having. Now, the NFORCE 2 shouldn't be the speed king according to this preview.

It's not just a MSI issue let me tell you that right now.
My rig is running better with this driver especially in games. It also seems to help if you uninstall the ATI drivers, then install the beta Via driver then reinstall your video card. |

Should I uninstall previous VIA apg driver first?
before installing the 4.40 driver, should I uninstall the previous AGP one from via? if there is such a way?
Thanks. |
