Sony reveals GTA: Liberty City Stories

LOS ANGELES--Today, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe gave its continental comrades in the games press a sneak peak at a title unseen by their American peers. At its press event at Electronic Entertainment Expo, the UK-headquartered wing of Sony's game empire briefly showed a logo of and footage from Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories for the PSP.

The unveiling confirms recent rumors that the game would indeed bear the title. Those rumors were backed up by the fact that libertycitystories.com was--until very--recently registered to Rockstar Games.

And yet San Andreas <sp?) isn't on the PC yet. They even realize how much $$$ they're loosing cuz of that?

Yeah. Not much? They'd have better sales on the X-Box (which by the way is coming soon) than on the PC.

Yeah they're probably inconjunction with Sony to make it a PlayStation only game for x-amount of time.
Shame they have to do the same for XBOX. Gaming consoles are weak by PC-gaming standards.
No matter WHAT PC you own, Doom3 will EAT it alive. What does the XBOX have? A knock'off Pentium III 733. Lets see....~4ghz 'Latest and Greatest' vs 733 of yester-year. Phaleese. DOOM3 for XBOX is sub-standard. I feel sorry for those who bought it.

Now, GTA on a 733 - might be doable and playable. That is, of course, you only have the PS2 to compare with.

Without going too much further, take a look at ViceCity for PS2 (out first) then VC for PC. 32-bit textures, enhanced game engine, overall better visuals....hmm....I think its gone beyond visual-enjoyment and pushing the envelope (as far as technology is concerned) and become a political nightmare. Who suffers? Everyone.

Doesn't apply to all games - just the multi-platorm versions that neglect PC-users simply for contracts, political battles and $$$ boosts.
