NEC has been dividing its large-diagonal LCDs into two series for a long time: a progressive series based on S-IPS (bright representatives: 1960NXi, 1980SXi) and an inexpensive series based on MVA/TN+film panels. However, the updated model range made a revolution inside consumers' minds this year: a new model has been launched (1970GX) as the best solution for multimedia and games. But for all this, the 1970GX is equipped with a cheap TN+film panel instead of the time-proven S-IPS one. Monitor gurus know well that NEC rarely launches poor models, so the revelation of 1970GX really engrosses our minds. At last one of the first representatives of this model in Russia has appeared in our lab...
