Dell does new eco-friendly desktops
Dell took the wraps off of two desktop computers on Thursday that it says really get the lead out.
The company announced that its latest OptiPlex systems--the GX520 and the GX620--not only are powered by some of the fastest Intel processors, they come with lead-free power supplies, motherboards and chassis. __________ Read More / Source: News.com |

If they wanted to make it really eco-friendly they should have used an Athlon 64(90 nm[not happening I know]) or a Pentium M(a clear dell choice) processor as the basis for these eco-friendly PC's. Because isn't that what eco-friendly is about not using so much power and hazordous materials not just hazordous materials which is what this pretty much was. Because the Pentium 4(and D) series is by far the worst when it comes to powerconsumption as far as processors go.
Otherwise at least they are doing something even though it was because of a European law that they did it...
