System Specs

DoubleSight DS-1900 Dual 19 Inch LCD Monitor

For people who spend a lot of time on their computer and who are looking to maximize productivity, there are few better upgrades than to go from one monitor to two. The addition of a second display opens up the desktop and allows for a large increase in productivity as result of easier multi-tasking and less opening and closing programs. While this may not have a great appeal to the casual user, power users, enthusiasts, and professionals stand to benefit greatly.

The problem with adding a second monitor is generally not you video card, as most people would think. Almost all of today's AGP and PCIe video cards have two outputs. The problem has to do with the expense and space issues that go with adding monitors. Space is less of a problem with LCDs than CRTs but the cost can be prohibitive and difficult to justify if you have not used a dual monitor setup before.
