Microsoft Money's upgrades (like Intuit Quicken's, for that matter) tend to run hot or cold. Either they're stuffed to the gills with new tools that will truly simplify money management and provide insight into your financial past, present, and future; or they include a couple of marquee features and some rather insignificant ones.
This year, Microsoft did the latter. Money Premium 2006 adds enhancements and increased usability in areas like investing, spending, and bill-paying. More noteworthy changes debut in the investing center. All told, it's an incremental upgrade that makes this already-excellent personal-finance package that much better. But unless you've longed for one of the new features, there's no compelling need to upgrade if you're happy with the version you use now.
