NVIDIA shocked the world recently when they announced -- and delivered on the same day -- their next generation Shader Model 3.0 video card. We cannot remember the last time this has happened for any new video card introduction. Generally, we are used to experiencing a paper launch and waiting a couple of weeks or more before we actually see the hardware available in retail outlets. Not only did NVIDIA have cards ready to go, but there were also lots of full retail packaged video cards ready to go on the day the embargo lifted. In fact, one that we received a day before the cards were even announced was a full retail BFGTech GeForce 7800 GTX OC video card.
