ViewSonic VX724 - 4ms 17in TFT monitor @ Trusted Reviews

In my last review I looked at a monitor with an 8ms response time, and to be honest the real world difference that made was pretty much negligible. So, as you can imagine I wasn’t expecting to see much of a change between that monitor and the 17in VX724 from ViewSonic, which it claims has a 4ms response time.

I was right. Personally, I couldn’t notice any improvement between the two monitors under high frame rate gaming and when watching movies. That said, I am sure there are “highly-tuned” gamers out there that will argue they can, but I’d question the ability to perceive a 4ms increase in response time.

I have this monitor and it's GREAT!! Well I have the 19" but for gaming it's so close to a crt its crazy. As the review said he could not tell much of a difference between a 8ms and a 4ms I would have to say he is wrong for the hard core gamers can tell a difference. My monitor is really showing that crt's are really becoming out of date and you really should think about switching.

both have free second day and I would give this monitor a 5/5 for everything to do with games. BF2 looks so great same as CCS and 1942 plus many others!

I guess the down side is that the colors are not the best for colors but I really can't notice becasue I don't know what to look for. All my digital photos look fine.
