After further review, ViewSonic claims VX924 has 3ms response time

ViewSonic will relaunch its VX924 19-inch LCD monitor in Taiwan at the Taipei Computer Application Show (TCAS) tomorrow, with the company now claiming the display has a 3ms response time. The VX924 was originally launched in the second quarter of this year and marketed as having a 4ms response time, but after conducting further tests, ViewSonic is confident the product has a 3ms response time.

For cynics that think ViewSonic is simply trying to bump up an existing product to a higher market segment, it is important to note the VX924 marketed with 4ms response time was priced at NT$16,900 (US$549) when it was introduced in April, while the “new” 3ms version will be priced at only NT$14,900 (US$467). The 19-inch LCD monitor also supports a maximum resolution of 1280×1024 and features a brightness of 270 nits and a contrast ratio of 550:1.
