After assessing the Athlon 64 X2 4800+ processor's performance with a variety of applications, we found it to be an extremely powerful processor, that excelled at many tasks. And we were also impressed that AMD was able to deliver a high-end dual-core processor that worked with most of the existing enthusiast-class socket 939 motherboards available, after nothing more than a simple BIOS update.
