These skins are awesome! I going to have to put half life 2 back on my machine. I wonder if they put a hit on the performance of the game?

now....question is, how do i install it? Do i just replace an entire particular folder or what?

Read the XXX manual?

"Installation:
Copy the materials folders to your <path to SteamApps>/<username>/Half-life 2/hl2/"

For example: D:\Programme\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\<username>/\half-life 2\hl2\materials\models

Alyx looks great, but Mossman... She looks as her nose would be broken.

. I just did it. hope i did it right though. i'm sure i did

Post some pics so I can see what it looks like when I get my X800XL in a couple days and reinstall HL2 to play through it again!!

Too bad they don't make a high res pack for all the textures in the game.. I suppose that would be a huge download.

Just how large is the download...... i can not gain access to both the links in the first post.

If it's not to large could someone either host the files for a short time and send the link via pm.

or send them via yousendit.com to me..

there like 20 megs or so.

personaly, id wait a couple days if i were you. he said in the thread that this is a work in progress and that in a few days he'll have a much more complete set of high res skins hes releasing.

hmm I just started another run thru usin HDR Bloom(kills FPS and frankly I dont like the look) THIS on the other hand looks great

I have a bad feeling that Aftermath will come with some kind of "high res pack" for HL2; Lost Coast will have better textures (but I can't find the source of this statement).

Gamespot has the download also ... here, if you don't mind registration.

I was able to start the download from Filefront this morning ... at least from the Worldwide servers. Can't try Europe only, etc. Do the downloads fail or do they not even start?

Hmmm ... just completed from US Distro Server 3.
