Time Warner's Turner sets debut price for GameTap

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Time Warner Inc.'s Turner Broadcasting will introduce its much-anticipated video game network GameTap at $14.95 a month when it is rolled out later this year, the company said on Tuesday.

GameTap, based on the television programing model, will allow subscribers to tap into a network of more than 1,000 games from 17 different publishers, including Activision Inc. and Ubisoft.

Unlike other systems that distribute games online, GameTap is aiming to win over fans of many of the harder-to-find early arcade to console video games.
