DH Review: ATI AIW X800GT DVB-T - 128mb PCIe
ATI’s All-In-Wonder X800XT is the must have card for multimedia and gaming enthusiasts still on the AGP platform, not many people would argue that. If gaming isn’t a primary concern you also have various other AIW versions to choose from. If you happen to be a PCI-Express user the choice of AIW products until now was limited to the X600 version which is hardly ideal for high resolution gaming.
Another area in which ATI have recently excelled is the PCIe version of the X800GT. Rave reviews are surfacing all over the web and as far as the price bracket goes the GT should be certainly on your shortlist. So to spice things up a little, what if ATI were to combine the excellent multimedia features of the X800XT AGP with the great value and performance of a PCIe X800GT and then, just for good measure throw in some excellent new features… do we have your attention now? read the review here |

wow first review ive seen of this on the net, nice job guys. The card looks good value for the money, quite versatile too with decent gaming performance. What are the noise levels like? I dont like the smaller fan design ATI are putting on some of their cards.
Any plans also for a 256 meg version or are they saving that up for the higher end models. |

excellent ! i didnt even know this card was planned. I agree with brutus, great job on the design and information. im still unsure about that fan design, i mean im sure its ok but when you work with pc's for years you come to expect small fans to be a bit of a disaster, the PCB is pretty cool though isnt it.
Its very well priced too, but id like a 256 model myself, 128 isnt really giving yourself much room for high resolution gaming and im not sure of hte futureproofing either, but as an AIW card for gaming on a TV its ideal and wont break the bank, I love ATI AIW boards though, I had a few in the past and they rock. Nice job guys, a good read with my cup of coffee this morning, good forums too. |

Wow!
Well, DVB-T had to come to the AIW party sooner or later - though any planned analog switchoffs don't look like happening in the average upgrade lifetime of your current PC, where DVB-T is available (eg. "Freeview" in the UK), you get a chunk of extra channels - and they aren't ALL shopping channels! |

What I want to know is whether this device supports Australian FTA HDTV and if we can output to Australian HDTV displays.
