GMT: Greenwich Mean Time, it a stadard commonly used to
differantate the time zones. A "base time" so to speak...

double click the clock on the windows taskbar,
Click time zone, look at you off set

For example mine is -5GMT, So in -8, I'd subtract 3 hours, So it it 6AM here
its 3AM thereBut you also have to account for daylight saveings in some areas

Chage the time zone in your clock and click appl and the time will chage to
what time it is in that zone.

a couple of weeks ago i saw your sig saying to try opera, so i gave it a go. i had been using firefox for a year and was happy with it. i didnt like that opera doesnt have extensions like firefox. but when i tried opera i was really impressed, cos it just does the same and more out of the box!

everyone should at least try opera, they wont regret it

btw, zardon where can i get the opera link u have for my sig?

I'm sure he could always get another one w/ a diff email address.

Right now the site is so overloaded I can't even get into it to d/l the SW.

Edit: OK, downloaded it, and the reg code worked. I didn't realize I couldn't use Roboform with it, though. Back to Maxthon.

Hello,

I'm on a dial up. How do you get so that when you launch opera the connect box pops up for you, like it does with IE.

mmm, isnt there something that works like that for opera? ive found quite a few addons for the program. I really find it hard to primarily use any browser now apart from opera due to the amazing mouse gestures. thats not even taking into consideration the speed differences with the other main browsers.

I'd hate to have to type in all those passcards again, though! So much is in Roboform already.

Alrighty! Since I can get rid of the ads without forking out $40, I'll check it out. ....yeah, I'm a cheap bastard...

EDIT: Found my first problem already. It absolutely REFUSES to open to my homepage (SBC Yahoo! personal hompage). The page that comes up says that I need to "upgrade" to IE or Mozilla. I can browse anywhere else apparently though.

Firefox boots this page fine...what's the deal? I thought Opera was supposed to be MORE compatible.

I'd look or ask on the opera community forums...they should have either a known issue on it or a workaround.

ok, using opera now. first impression: nice! loads up muuuch faster than ff and some things work better than they did in ff, such as features here on dh (quick reply window and mouse-over thread titles).
So I guess the plan is to get you addicted before the next version comes out... how often do they upgrade?
