Back at ATI's headquarters, her engineers are hard at work preparing the next generation Visual Processing Units (VPU) that's been somewhat overdue, but the industry as a whole is having high hopes when it makes its debut sometime next month. However, that's not stopping ATI from promoting and educating its channel partners and the end-users of its current lineup, technologies, the recent spate of mini product launches and its roadmap - and that's exactly what they set out to accomplish on the 26th and 27th August 2005 in Sydney, Australia. Held in the Showgrounds of Sydney Olympic Park, the first day was only open to the media and trade partners while the following day was open to the general public that drew crowds of more than 3,500 people.
