DH Review: Zboard @ Battlefield2 Keyset

Any PC gamer should be familiar with the proliferation of the various game pads and accessories that are meant to make gaming a lot easier, but unfortunately most of them have their flaws. Luckily, the Zboard from Ideazon is a customizable keyboard that can be used for hardcore gamers and everyday PC users alike. Its unique keyset system allows different keyboard layouts to be switched in a matter of minutes, easily allowing anybody to have the setup that is perfect for them.

im curious to hear your opinion how do you rate the board for battlefield 2, is it much "better" than a normal keyboard?

out of 10,would give it 9,because the keys along the top,are abit small at times when you first use ,specially in a dogfight int he heat of things, learning takes a day to get get to the layout, once you do that, then you get your rewards in game play,at first wasn't keen on it,now its great with good gaming mouse, use it with the mx518 and mx1000,the battlefield keyset is great, well layed outout

System Specs

ive said it once, and ill say it again.

every one of these custome keyboards ive seen like this seems like a complete waste of money.

dont like the default layout of your keyboard? remap it in game to something you do like. no reason to buy a new keyboard layout for every game you own.

you say that theres not enough room to map out all the stuff you want on the keyboard, thats reachable with your left hand? counting keys on my current board, i can map 37 diffrent keys that are all at the tip of my fingers on my left hand. more then any game will ever need.

l would have to say l disagree with you,as they everyone to there own.l got few keysets and use them in old and newer game, some friends of mine tryed it,found it hard at first, when they got little used to it,liked it,2 of them bought there own.some people like certain type of mouse as well as keyboard, its what you comfortable with at end of day.every section of gaming will always be changing ,thats life also

The best thing I liked about the BF2 keyset was that you could type just fine with it. If any of you read my Cyber Snipa review, that game pad was pretty good for first person shooters in general, but the lack of keys for typing bothered me.

The Zboard does take some time getting used to, and I personally had trouble mastering the crouch, prone, and sprint keys on the BF2 keyset cause they are all so damn close

I have a Zboard just collecting dust. It just doesn't seem like a keyboard to me--cheap.

I am waiting for this one to hit North America. I have tracked down a source in Canada and will be ordering it once I get my quote.

I bought a Zboard while at Million Man Lan last June. They were giving away the Battlefield2 inlay(or whatever) free with purchase. Took some adjusting but I have to say that I absolutely love it.
I have the Logitech MX Duo cordless keyboard and MX700 mouse. The receiver unit uses the ps/2 port while the Zboard is USB. I'm able to use both - when I'm ready to play I lean the cordless keyboard against my bookshelf and snag the Zboard from the top of my monitor... and commence gameplay.

Totally recommend it.

BTW, Hi. I'm new here.
