NEW YORK--Technology makers hope you want to see gadgets equipped with Wi-Fi capability wrapped in pretty paper and ribbons this December. But if that's too high-tech, how about a robot floor mopper?

On the Wi-Fi front, Linksys's cigarette pack-size wireless Travel Router, Kodak's Wi-Fi-equipped digital camera, and a pocket-size Wi-Fi-equipped tablet PC from Nokia were just some of the wares shown at a media preview show here last night.

If Wi-Fi isn't high on your shopping list, there was a clutch of other silicon-enhanced consumer electronics shown, including a robo-mop. iRobot, the company that brought the world the Roomba robotic vacuum, now unleashes Scooba--a robotic floor mop. The $400 disc-shaped robot promises to roam your kitchen floor sweeping up dirt, squirting cleaning solutions, and then scrubbing and sucking up the mess. iRobot says the Scooba will be available only through its Web site by December.
