F.E.A.R. strikes gold

Well I put everything on max, darkened my room and played the demo at night and well... Nothing

I tried to get into the game but well ya...

And to me, it was an action game where you shot guys and all. Nothing creepy. I never felt watched. I just hope longer gameplay will make the game more fun.

I am sort of non-desensitized to creepy demonic stuff though, since lately I have been playing racing sims and games like HL2.. So when something creepy happens, I notice it.. and it freaks me out a little.. Especially in the middle of the night in a dark room.

I had the 5.1 surround cranking, and the gfx all cranked up too. A pretty good feeling of immersion. I was freaked out by DoomIII at first too though, so I guess I am just easily freaked.. LOL. but it's cool because I get the full affect of what the game devs are trying to portray.

It helps if you believe in that sh!t I guess.
I just have to remind myself.. it's just a game, it's just a game, it's just a game..

My girlfriend (I guess my fiancé now

)... is a lot worse than me.. she won't watch scary movies at all... no matter what.. It gives her nightmares.

Its not that kind of scary. I think you were looking to hard to be scared, I would mostly relate this type of "scary" to the kind in Max Pain twisted and amusing.

I actually found the SP F.E.A.R. demo quite unsettling. I fired it up at night in a dark room with 5:1 headphones on and I was literally on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen. its been a LONG time since a game has felt so immersive especially when the people you are fighting act like they are semi intelligent. The little girl is great though, I like children used in horror contexts like that, its very unsettling.

In the demo, that little girl never really scared me or anything... Though I love the mystery parts (who what how?) about her.

However, a video (trailer) I saw of Fear about this little girl, god that gave me goosebumps!

immersive, there u go. Like a movie experience where you had say and played the part.
