Razer's Copperhead Gaming Mouse Review @ ExtremeTech

It's arguable whether or not the first mouse designed and marketed for gamers was the Razer Boomslang, but there's no doubt that it popularized the genre. Since then, mice have universally gone optical, and it seems like everyone is jumping on this bandwagon.

Just recently we've had a look at the Raptor-Gaming M2 mouse and Microsoft's first gaming mouse, the Laser Mouse 6000. We didn't like either enough to recommend them to our readers. The real standout has been Logitech's superb G5 Laser Optical Mouse, perhaps the best mouse we've ever used.

Razer isn't one to be outdone by a bigger company, though. It actually announced its 2000 dpi laser mouse, the Copperhead, before Logitech's G5. Both are shipping at nearly the same time, however, so it's hard to really call one a copy of the other. Still, they are the nearest competitors, and we absolutely loved the G5, so the question now is: Does Razer's Copperhead one-up Logitech's G5?
