With a combination of today's mobile technology and performance, laptops are becoming the majority of computers in the marketplace. It is gradually becoming realistic to custom configure your own notebook, and it’s been a long time coming; building one’s own notebook offers one of the few remaining “new frontiers” for enthusiasts.
An intuitive SFF manufacturer may make the leap from desktop barebones to notebook barebones. This seems to be the next logical evolution of the SFF. Since the launch of the first SFF, the Shuttle SV24, we have seen the refinement of the SFF (from Shuttle and other manufacturers) concept and accompanying accessories. The next step is to merge these products together and create a barebones notebook product aimed at the DIY enthusiast.
