Wikipedia does a good job telling you were the Mentawai Islands are, but it isn't much good at giving you a map of the location. Placeopedia is looking to solve the problem by combining the online encyclopedia with Google Inc.'s mapping service.

Built by MySocieity.org, Placeopedia stems from the British nonprofit's mission of finding useful things to do with the Web, and then sharing it with the rest of the world at no charge and without strings.
