Serious Sam 2 New Demo Coming Monday

Croteam and 2K Games announced that a new demo for Serious Sam II will be released Monday. It will include a new level which incorporates the recently released patch (fixing issues with the interface + multiplayer), and will contain an additional level ('Greendale') from the full game that can be played in both single and co-op multiplayer.

Ya know, I really liked Serious Sam because of the co-op MP mode (which SS2 also has), but I noticed that not that many people here seem to be gushing over SS2 (as opposed to F.E.A.R., for example). I realize they're totally different, but it's too bad as I think it's a great game.

Thats a pitty as i think ss2 is the dogs bo***cks to be honest.Same gameply as the original.....hold one key on the keyboard (W),same goes for the mouse (Left Click) but with the occasional movement......and thats about as far as it goes for me...

But thats my opinion as far as it goes,FPS with no story line is dead & holds no excitement.

I agree there; it's the co-op MP that I like. I wish more games would have this.

For Me.... HL2 Is my fav at the moment...... but i have F.E.A.R on Pre-order and im very impatient.. Why do the uk have a much later release dates to the us... somethings are simply not fair.

I've only played a little of the original SS and the demo of SS2, but I like them cause you can just go in and shoot at stuff without worrying about anything else. Sometimes it's great for your only goal to be to kill anything that moves.

I do think SS2 went a bit too cartoony though. All the guns look like plastic toys, and some of the enemies (like the helicopters and the "wound up" bull thing) are just embarrasing now. At least the first SS made enemies look a little more threatening, but now they're almost straight out of Toy Story or something.
