I don't want to be greedy, I have an old mach64 pci card laying around but I already won something off driverheaven.

Anyone wanna buy it off me

I saw some older cards in here already anyway

I have like 5 ATI old PCI cards. Don't know what they are but the max resolution is 1024X768@16bit. and that is 2D. I don't think they do 3d.

i still dont see some really old stuff being commented... just think if you have a rage or mach card that its still wayyyyyyy later in tthe ati market. i remember my first computer given to me... i think it was an 8088... the motherboard is gone but the hardware inside is still around. plus i have a couple of older computers than that, but im not sure which ones have ati cards, just that one. i do belive ati released some earlier cards before the time of the 8088 if im not mistaken.

remember ati was out before the time of PCI... some of you guys just lost :P

I have this card, must have been one of the first PCI boards there was. I dont know if its totally made by ATi cause it just gots a ATi chip on it. Its also green unlike the current RED they use.
I dont have it with me here, but its in my home country. I may ask one of my family memebers to take a pic and send it to me so I can post it.

The oldest ATI card we ever had was a AIW Rage 4meg PCI (I believe it was PCI ) . I don't know if it's still around or not. My bro always files that stuff away and he JUST left for work.

Besides, I doubt that would be the oldest card anyway.....

I have a Rage II using the PCI Mach64 GT chipset, Part# 109-38200-00, S/N SC 6 49 61603 but no digital camera to take a photo of it. Would a photo copy of the card work?

Card seems to be dated 1996.

you are right abt the EGA Wonder but the card on Ebay was a VGA Wonder+ from 1988. So if somebody can find a EGA Wonder, you are assured of the prize !!!!

Well, I threw an old Hyundai 8088-era PC away awhile ago now that had an ATI video card, and it was only CGA/MDA/Hercules compatible which seems to be earlier than that....definitely had an ATI sticker on it....possiby an ATI "Graphics Solution" ISA card, and probably older than an EGA Wonder. You just never know what you should hang onto.

I would advise against getting that motherboard. ASrock is a poor brand. I've never known anyone to have one work properly. I'm not even joking. They are really that bad.

Perhaps...this motherboard gets decent reviews, however...so, multiple review sites seem to be able to get it to work.

Edit: Ooops...this has gone off-topic...Sorry!

Interesting idea for a contest.

Here is a decent list of ATI's product history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATI_Technologies

I don't think I have any old ATI cards, although I have old cards from just about everyone else: Paradise (ISA), Tseng (ISA), Trident (ISA), S3 (PCI), 3dfx (AGP), and nVidia (AGP). My first IBM-compatible PC was a Wyse 286 with an EGA card once upon a time, but it was thrown out long ago and I don't know what brand the video card was.

I also don't have a PCIe-based computer yet, so a new ATI card wouldn't do me any good anyways until I upgrade next year.

Good luck to the contestants
