I found a Rage IIC integrated in one of my older comps. Does this count?

*EDIT*
Intergrated doesn't count :'(

my bad, i found something older. It is an ISA card. I don't know wtf it is. 256k of graphic memory, 16bit vga. $300 at the time. WTF!!!

*EDIT*
It's a VGA Wonder+, old, but not old enough. Time to scavenge more.

*EDIT2*
The VGA Wonder is one of the oldest cards considering ISA is older and less commonly used than PCI.

Man I have an old Rage Pro 3D AGP 2x, its the all in wonder version, maybe i can get the all in wonder 1800xt for having the oldest all in wonder pretty please, its depressing people went to ebay for this, i actually thought i had a shot at this one

hey hey on the whole commenting on contests thing, remember that shader contest back in the day, it was near impossible to do anything cool, i tried like ten different ways to do a bloom but it just wasnt possible with limitations of the tech... oh well, who won that anyways, and with what shader?

Thought I'd post THIS link so that people would know where they stand. I think the list is pretty accurate, and it looks like there is a competition with at least a few people having the ATI Graphics Solutions CW-16800-A ISA card which was released in 1985 (wasn't it around December '85?).

At any rate, contrats to whomever wins. You deserve it (especially since it only took you 20 years to upgrade )!

Found a Graphics Solution Plus, 2nd one on the list, still looking for the elusive first gen. And to think I just threw that AT out last week... what was I thinking, I'm glad that someone scooped it up before the grabage truck came by.

I went spelunking this weekend in some dusty old computer parts places, they had a nice asortment of PCI cards, but I was after the ISA ones .

After 90 minuites of box after box of OI cards and MFM controllers I came across 2 cards, one a 8Bit EGA Wonder, and the other a 16Bit VGA wonder; both with 512K of memory and in good shape, so the search still continues for the FIRST card ATI made (which for you that dont know, it was fashioned after the Hercules CGA card that was the main CGA card at that time.... yes I remember when VGA was introduced... :P ).

I have 2 more places to look for the first gen.... but still having a excellent condition Graphic Solution Plus cant hurt either .

happy hunting
