"Optical Mice are now slowly replacing the conventional ball mice. The advantage of the optical technology over the mechanical technology is that it doesn't require much cleaning. Unlike the ball mice, it doesn't require physical contact so it won't accumulate much dust/dirt which causes the inaccuracy of movement. However, the optical mice isn't that perfect. It performs poorly on smooth or shiny surface. To improve this, Logitech produces a much better sensor technology, the Laser Sensor.
According to Logitech, the laser sensor is capable in handling most of the surfaces which the optical sensor does not run well. We are glad to get hold of the Logitech MX610 Optical Cordless Mouse to examine the ability of the laser technology. Let's read on and find out more!"
