Quake 4 Review

Built on id Software's Doom 3 engine, Quake 4 offers a superlative cinematic-quality visual and aural gaming experience. You'll gaze in wonder at the large outdoor environments that encompass huge battle scenes. The scenery is terrific eye candy, creatively textured and lit. An addition in this sequel is vehicle-based combat, with heavy walkers and hover tanks; controls and handling are decent, and some of the battles against the unusual Strogg vehicles become all-out firefights.

The Strogg AI has been improved; they now take cover when fired upon and set up crossfire where they can. The crisp, clear, and detailed graphics and the surround sound really sucked us in. Sneaking through shadowed hallways crawling with Stroggs eager to kill creates a huge amount of tension.

Yes that is extremely pathetic

dont read it guys, or skim over it. great game btw, finally good use of the doom3 engine. hopefully it has long lasting appeal but my limited playing of a few hours has been very enjoyable.
