They Hunger: Lost Souls

The Black Widow Games Website reveals development of They Hunger: Lost Souls, a Source-engine game that follows-up on the popular They Hunger modifications for Half-Life. The site includes the first screenshots, along with the announcement:

They Hunger: Lost Souls is a first-person action commercial game powered by the award-winning Half-Life 2 Source engine from Valve Software. Based upon the highly popular They Hunger mod series, the upcoming title features a completely new horror-survival adventure.

In North-Eastern Europe during the early 1960's, strange anomalies culminate with dead corpses rising from their graves. As a tourist recovering from a tragic accident, you seek shelter in an ancient monastery overrun by bloodthirsty zombies, and become involved in an escalading cascade of calamities.

looks tasty!! but, am i right in saying this will not be a mod but a stand alone game??

They hunger is the best mod for HL1, good playable and a good story
I espect this game "Lost souls" will rock, better then the HL2 native story.

And yes it will be a stand alone game running on the HalfLife 2 engine, what i understand.

Great idea but... where are the dozens of FREE mods we played on HL and which we're still waiting for HL2 versions ???

I bought HL2 not only for the great game it is but because i finished almost all single player mods on Half Life and thats why i loved it so much. I spent much more time to play the mods than the game itself.

Its a real shame to see that nothing serious except the buggy "Eclipse" mod came out since HL2 was released

And the first cool mod announced will not be free as well... damn
